My mom was very particular growing up. Although, she was usually tight on budget, mom was always able to provide us with the best things we needed. And this did not change when our children were born.
Almost 10years ago, my mom gave Cydney her first stroller – Stokke Xplory. Yes, for me it seemed like she bought her the Mercedes of all the strollers. And as much as I love it, my immediate reaction was to return it to buy multiple baby items instead. But of course, she insisted to have the best for her grandchild. We had multiple covers, one for winter and another for summer. When it was hot, the stroller provided a good amount of shade with the detachable umbrella. And when it was raining, the stroller came with a raincoat to ensure coverage of the baby. It was amazing! In fact, wherever we traveled, mommies around me asked where we got it. That was just the first of the many baby items my mom bought for my children and my sisters’. Mom absolutely made sure that her grandchildren had the very best, from car seats to clothes, to the latest feeding bottles and softest swaddle blankets. I’m not saying that we couldn’t afford these items ourselves,
but it felt very good that we had someone as generous as she was throughout our lives.
A few days ago, my sisters and I attended a 10 years celebration at Modern Natural Baby . We had so much fun, which has been difficult to achieve lately. I tell you, this store feels so comfortable. You’d always feel their team sincerely cares – just like my mom did. I drowned in mixed emotions knowing that Mom and I shopped at this store together a few times. Mom’s no longer with us, for 3 months now.
And as much as this past few months has been challenging to say the least, God has continued showering us with blessings.
My younger sister is now expecting her third baby… and Modern Natural Baby shared their own 10 years anniversary blessing with us when I won a stroller during their celebratory ruffle. What an amazing surprise. As long as there’s a little one in our family, I think we would be celebrating with them every year. Thanks to this place, we have now one more stroller memory that I’ll share with my sisters and I.
