Who said that to be a good mom you have to cook from scratch?
One of the things I’m noticing nowadays are overspent time from moms making organic, made from scratch, children’s meal. WHO HAS TIME FOR THAT?
Most of them thought that in doing so, the children would probably eat healthier meals. It maybe right because most “fast” food are drenched in preservatives and ingredients you can’t even pronounce.
BUT, there are better ways to cook easy meals that are healthier and not time consuming.
- PREMADE – Do you know that there are companies who makes gluten free, dairy free, no bleach, no artificial flavors and no preservatives cookies? One of the one’s we have tried and does not taste like cardboard is from a company called IMMACULATE BAKING . In fact, my daughters can’t tell the difference between another brand we’ve been using before. It takes less than 20minutes to prepare + you don’t have to clean the kitchen afterwards, #mommywins again!
- INTERNATIONAL DISHES – You should also look into preparing international dishes that the family would like and enjoy. My family loves sushi/sashimi/Japanese food and most prep time is VERY quick and easy + it’s healthier ingredients. This would only work if your children are willing to try. For other who have picky children, French recipes maybe a good start. They usually use a more lightly flavored meals such as quiche and potato casserole. Here’s a LINK to an awesome kid friendly international food: BABBLE Courtersy of Disney
- CROCKPOT MEALS – Look, when you tell me that you can make vegetable and beef stew while you’re at work, I am sold! There are parents that are concern about nutrients breaking down during cooking, but because those nutrients gets mixed with the cooking liquid, you should still be good!
Point is, there’s plenty of ways to feed our children healthy meals without spending 1million hours in the Kitchen…when I find out more, I will definitely let you know!
